This bread is not as sweet as I'd hoped, but that turned out to be a good thing. You can really taste the strawberries here, and it isn't syrupy. I served mine with real butter and got raves. Ingredients:
3 eggs |
2 cups sugar |
1 1/2 cups oil |
2 cups strawberries, and juice |
3 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs until frothy. 2. Add sugar and oil. 3. Mix well. 4. Add strawberries and dry ingredients which have been sifted together. 5. Add nuts. 6. Mix well after each addition. 7. Bake in 2 or 3 loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour. |
