I found this recipe on free-gourmet- , and it's a great way to use up those brown bananas. I'll post it exactly as listed, but I used skim milk and regular vanilla bean ice cream instead. I halved the recipe because this serves 9. Very simple and yummy! Ingredients:
20 ounces frozen strawberries, slightly thawed |
4 bananas, medium sliced |
2 cups half-and-half, fat-free |
4 cups low-fat vanilla ice cream, slightly softened |
Directions:
1. In a food processor, combine strawberries, half and half, and bananas. 2. Cover and process until well blended. 3. Add ice cream a cup at a time. Cover and process until smooth and well blended. |
