Cool and refreshing gelatin salad. Ingredients:
1 - 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries - thawed and undrained |
3 - 3 oz. pks. strawberry jello |
1 c. boiling water |
1 - 15 1/4 oz. can crushed pineapple - undrained |
3 bananas, sliced |
2 c. sour cream - divided |
1/2 c. chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in fruit. 2. Pour half of gelatin mixture into and 8 pan, and refrigerate until firm. 3. Store remaining gelatin mixture at room temperature. 4. Spread congealed gelatin with 1 cup sour cream. 5. Spoon the remaining gelatin over sour cream, and refrigerate until firm. 6. Top with remaining sour cream, spreading evenly. 7. Sprinkle with pecans. 8. Serves 8-10. |
