This recipe was given to me by a dear lady at our church Ladies Fellowship and has been a huge hit with my family for years. Very quick and tasty. Ingredients:
1 1/2 quarts fresh strawberries (frozen can be used) |
1 angel food cake |
1 (6 ounce) box strawberry gelatin |
1 (16 ounce) container cool whip or 1 (16 ounce) container your favorite whipped topping |
Directions:
1. Tear angel food cake into bite-sized pieces and place in bottom of large oblong cake pan. 2. Dissolve gelatin as per directions on box. 3. Wash strawberries-remove stems. 4. Slice berries and fold into gelatin. 5. Pour berries and gelatin over cake pieces and refrigerate 2-3 hours until gelatin has set. 6. Place dollops of whipped topping over desert or spread evenly over entire mixture. 7. Top with fresh mint for decoration. |
