1quart strawberries |
rum.....enough to cover strawberries |
1/4 lb powdered sugar |
stem and clean and wash thoroughly.drain on a napkin |
add to berries and let stand for 2 hours before serving. |
not too long,however,as the berries will become soggy. |
drain and serve very cold |
sauce |
1 pint vanilla ice cream |
2oz kirschwasser( cherry brandy) |
1cup whipping cream(whipped) |
1/2 cup sugar |
mix and stir well |
fold into above mixture andf chill |
serve over strawberries in a glass compote. |
