Can be doubled for a main dish. Ingredients:
4 (oz) whitle linguine(2-1/2 cups) |
4 (oz) green linguine(2-1/2 cups) |
boiling salt water |
1/2 cup butter |
8oz.cooked ham,cut in thin strips(1-1/2 cups) |
3/4 cup cooked peas |
1(2-1/2oz)jar sliced mushroms,drained |
2 egg yolks,well beaten |
1 cup whipping cream |
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese(4oz) |
Directions:
1. Cook the two linguine in boiling salt water,just until tender. 2. Drain,and return to pot. 3. Add butter,ham,peas,and the mushrooms. 4. In a bowl beat egg yolks and cream with a fork until foamy. 5. Slowly add the cream mixture to linguine,mixing well. 6. Stir in 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese. 7. Stir gently over medium heat,until mixture is thickened. 8. Serve on individual plates,sprinkle with reamaining parmesan cheese. |
