Ingredients:
(2) 28 oz. cans of your favorite baked beans (bush's, b&m, etc.)
1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
dash hot sauce (tabasco, crystal, etc.)
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
Directions:
1. Melt butter in dutch oven over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
2. Add canned beans and mix well. Add remaining ingredients, stir well, and cook over medium heat until sugars are dissolved and everything is combined.
3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 1 hour or until beans reach desired thickness. Stir occasionally, making sure beans don't scorch in bottom of pot.
4. For a terrific twist, you can add 1 lb. cooked ground turkey or ground beef, seasoned well with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and granulated garlic.
