Stove-Top Scalloped Apples |

This is my grandmothers recipe. Still the best recipe I've found. Ingredients:
6 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon clove |
1/8 teaspoon ginger |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Place apples in a nonstick saucepan with the butter. Cook for several minutes. Add sugars, spices and vanilla and continue cooking until apples are tender, about 20-25 minutes over low heat. |
