Tender, tasty ribs prepared in a pot on top of the stove... Ingredients:
2 -3 lbs pork ribs |
1 (2 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix (i use liptons) |
3/4 cup barbecue sauce |
2 cups water |
1/2 tablespoon tabasco sauce |
Directions:
1. Place soup mix, bbq sauce, water and Tabasco sauce in a large sauce pan. 2. Stir to combine. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Add ribs. 5. Cover pot, reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes (sauce will not cover all of the ribs). 6. Remove ribs to a dish. 7. Bring sauce to a boil and stir until thickened. 8. Taste and add salt pepper and more Tabasco to taste (I usually add another tablespoon = we like our sauce on the hot side). 9. Cut ribs into serving sized pieces and return to the pot of thickened sauce. 10. Stir to coat ribs. 11. Serve and enjoy (I hope). |
