Great southern dish! Ingredients:
1 head cabbage, chopped |
2 beef bouillon cubes |
a little vegetable oil |
4 slices bacon |
salt/pepper |
chopped onion |
3/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Chop cabbage into bite size pieces. 2. Add water to a large pot. It will be a large amount of cabbage, but the cabbage will cook down. Add bacon, onion, vegetable oil, beef bouillon cubes, and salt/pepper. Bring to a boil and turn down to low – medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Till tender but still crisp. |
