breakfast porridge Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups water |
1/4 cup steel cut oats |
1/4 cup millet |
2 teaspoons almond butter |
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil. 2. Add steel cut oats and millet. Stir. 3. Reduce heat to moderately low. 4. Cover with a lid partly â?? if you cover all the way, it will boil over â?? it should simmer & bubble. 5. Set timer for 15 minutes; stir once or twice during that time (when done, grains should almost stick to bottom of pan, but not quite â??often takes about 17 minutes â?? watch it carefully for the last 2 minutes). 6. Add almond butter & maple syrup & stir. |
