This is a perfect stew to make when you just want to crawl back in bed for the day. I do not remember where I got this recipe but have had it a long time. You can also make this in your slow cooker! Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs beef stew meat |
2 onions, chopped |
3 carrots, peeled and sliced |
2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced |
1 (16 ounce) can peas, drained (optional) |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup or 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup or 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can celery soup |
1/2 cup water |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a casserole dish or roaster pan that has a TIGHT FITTING LID. Place in oven at 275 degrees for 5 hours or until meat very tender and sauce thick and bubbly. |
