This is how my mom made salmon with the cans of salmon you get on sale. She made tuna with this recipe too. Ingredients:
2 cups canned pink salmon (1 can) |
2 cups soft breadcrumbs |
1 egg |
1/2 cup salmon liquid |
3 tablespoons powdered milk |
2 tablespoons parsley, minced |
2 tablespoons onions, minced |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Drain salmon reserving liquid. 2. Flake. 3. Add crumbs and egg. 4. Measure salmon liquid to make 1/2 cup. 5. Add powdered milk to liquid; mix. 6. Add rest of ingredients and mix. 7. Shape into loaf. 8. Bake 40 minutes at 350°F; let stand 5 minutes. |
