Plain salad with basic vinegar & oil dressing. Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce, chopped |
1 shallot, chopped very fine |
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved |
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped |
1 tablespoon dried oregano |
1 tablespoon dried basil |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
4 -6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
2 -3 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
Directions:
1. Clean and chop the romaine lettuce. 2. Place in a large bowl (preferably Tupperware with a lid) with shallot, tomatoes, parsley, oregano, basil, salt & pepper. 3. Add the oil and vinegar, place the lid on bowl, shake vigorously. 4. If not satisfied with taste add more salt & pepper or more vinegar. |
