Spicy! Ingredients:
2 large cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 (12-ounce) bottle beer |
1/2 to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/4 teaspoon white pepper |
1 pound medium shrimp in shell |
2 tablespoons minced green onions |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
1 tablespoon grainy mustard |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. In medium saucepan, stir together garlic, salt, beer, red pepper flakes and white pepper. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in shrimp. Quickly return to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes. Transfer to heatproof bowl. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Chill for at least 1 hour or overnight. 2. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon. Pour beer mixture into medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil, uncovered, for 6 to 8 minutes, or until reduced to 1/4 cup. Remove from heat. Whisk in green onions, red wine vinegar, mustards and olive oil. Pour over shrimp. Cover and marinate. Stir in parsley just before serving. |
