Ingredients:
1 can(s) (15-1/2 ounces) hominy, rinsed and drained |
1 tablespoon(s) butter |
2 cup(s) chicken broth |
2/3 cup(s) chopped onion |
1/4 teaspoon(s) each ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg |
2 10-oz. package(s) frozen cooked winter squash, thawed |
1/4 cup(s) heavy whipping cream |
1 teaspoon(s) minced garlic |
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in the squash, broth, hominy and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in cream. |
