Squash Casserole Country Style |

Classic Squash Casserole. Just the basics, no fancy ingredients. Southern Country Style. Ingredients:
2 large yellow squash, sliced 1/4 thick |
1/4 cup milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup bread crumbs |
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 large egg |
1/4 cup onions, chopped medium size |
Directions:
1. Saute squash and onions in a medium skillet over medium high heat with a little oil until tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. 2. Melt the butter (microwave works fine). Beat the egg and mix with milk, bread crumbs, cheese and butter in a medium mixing bowl. Add the squash and onions, fold together. 3. Place in a small greased baking dish and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. |
