This side dish puts a different spin to everyones favorite yellow squash. This is a recipe passed to me by my Mother it was always a favorite of mine on the Holidays. Ingredients:
1 can baby yellow squash |
small jar pimento |
8 oz sour cream |
1 can cream of chicken soup |
1/2 cup of onion chopped |
1 tsp salt |
1 tsp pepper |
2 cup of peppridge farm seasoned bread crumbs |
1/2 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven 375 2. Melt Butter and add to Bread crumbs. 3. Sautee Onion till soft 4. Combine all the rest of the ingrediences in a large bowl and mix together add onions. 5. Spray Casserol dish with nonstick spray put thin layer of bread crumbs in bottom. Pour in the other ingrediences and top with the rest of the bread crumbs. Bake uncovered for 45 min. 6. For a nice twist add ham chunks to the main filling. |
