Ingredients:
9 cups mixed salad greens |
1/3 cup olive oil |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
3/4 teaspoon stone-ground mustard |
1/4 teaspoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/2 cups commercial or homemade croutons |
freshly ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Place salad greens in a large bowl. Combine oil and next 5 ingredients; stir well with a wire whisk. Drizzle over greens and toss gently. Top with croutons and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper. 2. Note: Mixed salad greens come prepackaged in many grocery stores and farmer's markets. Or, you can clean and tear your own mix of greens in advance. Store with a damp paper towel in a large zip-top plastic bag. |
