My favorite cookie to make at Christmas. Love the butter and almond flavor. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
2 teaspoons almond extract |
colored decorating sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. In a small bowl, combine flour and salt. 3. In a large bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar. 4. Blend in egg and almond extract; beat well. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. 6. Press dough through cookie press onto ungreased baking sheet. 7. Sprinkle with colored decorating sugar. 8. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. 9. Cool on wire rack. |
