Spring Onion And Potato Cutlets

A simple recipe to use as a side dish.Would be great alongside rice dishes.I like to use this as a stuffing in spring rolls/samosa which goes well with Mint chutney and Tomato Ketchup.
Ingredients:
500 gm potatoes
1/2 cup green part of spring onions,chopped
1/2 tbsp salt (or to taste)
1 tbsp red chillies powder
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
pinch of nigella seeds (kalonji)
2 tbsp dried pomegranate seeds,optional
1 tbsp crushed coriander
fresh coriander leaves,chopped
1-2 eggs
bread crumbs as required
oil, for shallow-frying
Directions:
1. Boil,peel and mash potatoes.
2. Add all ingredients except egg,crumbs and oil.Mix well.
3. Make round/cylinder shaped cutlets,dip in beaten eggs and crumbs.
4. Heat oil in a pan for shallow-frying.
5. Place cutlets in oil and fry till both sides are crisp and golden brown.
6. Serve hot with ketchup/chutney.
