A lovely treat with custard Ingredients:
2 ounces self raising flour, wholewheat |
2 ounces self raising flour, white |
1 pinch of salt |
2 ounces shredded vegetable suet |
2 ounces sugar |
4 ounces mixed fruit |
1 medium egg |
4 tablespoon milk, skimmed |
Directions:
1. Grease a 1 pint pudding basin. 2. Mix together all the dry ingredients. 3. Add the egg and milk to produce a smooth dropping consistency. 4. Place the mixture into the prepared pudding basin. 5. Cover with pleated greaseproof paper and foil and steam for about 1 1/2 hours. 6. Turn out and serve hot with custard. |
