here is a recipe for the type of center the original Malted Milk Balls have, not just chocolate over chocolate... You will have to flavor it with Malt Powder. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 cup light corn syrup |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
chocolate |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, syrup and vinegar in a 3 quart saucepan. Cook to hard crack stage (300 degrees). 2. Remove from heat, add baking soda, mix quickly. Pour into a greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch pan. Cool. 3. Invert pan, break into bite size pieces. Spread or dip into melted chocolate. |
