Ingredients:
1 ham bone (leftovers) |
3 cups dried whole green peas, split |
4 quarts water |
1 cup onion, chopped |
1 cup celery, chopped (with leaves) |
2 cups carrots, diced |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 bay leaf |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Simmer ham bone with peas in water for 2 hours. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Continue to cook for about 1 hour. |
