Ingredients:
2 1 lb bags dry split peas |
2 bay leaves |
2 celery stalks chopped |
2-3 carrots chopped |
2 onions chopped |
4 garlic cloves minced |
12 cup(s) water |
1 bouillon cube |
3 smoked hamhocks, or 2 cups chopped ham |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to large stockpot. Cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. All ingredients will break down. Ready to serve. Add salt to taste. |
