Split Pea Chicken Barley Soup |

My own twist with chicken instead of ham and barley instead of rice. Ingredients:
2 c shredded chicken |
1 c dry split peas |
3 c frozen vegetables |
2 tbsp parsley, fresh |
1/2 tsp dried thyme |
1/4 tsp pepper |
7 c water |
2 c chicken broth |
1/2 c quaker medium barley |
Directions:
1. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients. 2. Cover; cook low for 10-12 hours or high 4-5 hours. 3. Cover; let stand 10 minutes. |
