Can be a side dish or flavor-rich casserole,add meat or cheese if you like. Ingredients:
1 tbsp. butter |
1/2 cup sliced green onions |
1 cup rice,cook according to directions on box. |
1 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp.fresh ground black pepper.1 jar sliced mushrooms drained (2 1/2 oz.) |
/4 cup chopped pimentoes |
1 1/2 cups chicken stock. |
1/4 cup dry sherry. |
Directions:
1. Cook the green onions in butter until soft. 2. Add rice,salt,pepper.mushrooms,pimentoes,broth,and sherry. 3. Pour into a well buttered cassorole (2 quart 4. Cover with foil or a tight-fitting lid. 5. Bake at 375 degrees about 25 minutes. 6. Fluff with a fork. |
