This is a very tasty and very refreshing yet very simple recipe. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 large bunch fresh spinach |
1/2 pound lean bacon cubed |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
4 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Thoroughly wash spinach and dry. 2. Break into bite size pieces and place in the refrigerator to chill. 3. Sauté bacon until crisp then partially drain reserving drippings. 4. Add sugar and vinegar then stir until dissolved. 5. Heat until bubbly and pour over spinach then serve at once with pepper sprinkled over the top. |
