I've had this recipe for years. I think I got it off another recipe site. Everyone I have ever served this too has asked for the recipe. It is simple but delicious. Ingredients:
salad |
1 pound fresh spinach |
1/4 pound bacon- fried and crumbled |
1 medium/small red onion sliced |
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms sliced |
2 hardboiled eggs sliced (add these after you toss with dressing) |
dressing |
1/3 cup white vinegar |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/3 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine salad ingredients in a large bowl. 2. Blend dressing ingredients well . 3. Add 2/3 cup oil in a thin stream while blender is running. Blend until creamy. 4. Toss with salad mixture and top with eggs. |
