A delightful salad with lots of crunch. Ingredients:
16 ounces spinach |
1/2 lb bacon bits |
1 (10 ounce) can water chestnuts, sliced thin |
1/2 lb fresh bean sprout |
1/2 lb mushroom, sliced thin |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1/3 cup ketchup |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 cup salad oil |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash spinach well and dry. Add remaining ingredients and store in plastic bag until ready to serve. 2. Mix dressing ingredients. (I use a jar with tight fitting lid.) Pour over spinach mixture just before serving. |
