Ingredients:
1 medium onion, finely chopped |
1/4 cup butter |
3 (10 ounce) pkges. frozen leaf spinach, thawed and drained |
1/2 cup half-and-half cream |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Saute onion in butter .In a large bowl, combine onion, spinach, cream, pecans, 1/3 cup bread crumbs, salt, nutmeg and pepper; mix well. 2. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. 3. Combine 1/4 cup bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle over the spinach mixture. 4. .Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
