Spinach Fettuccine With Garlic-Onion Sauce |

This comes from Great Garlic Recipes cookbook. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 lb vidalia onion, sliced |
12 garlic cloves, chopped |
1 tablespoon honey |
1/4 cup marsala wine |
1 lb spinach fettuccine, cooked and drained |
salt and black pepper |
parmesan cheese (optional) |
Directions:
1. Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cover and cook until soft. Add honey; reduce heat to low. Cook, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring often. Add wine; cook 5 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper. Toss sauce over pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. |
