Spinach Dip in a Bread Basket |

Make sure to squeeze the spinach very dry so the dip isn't watery. Finely chopped spring onions (scallions) are a nice addition if you like them. Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 1/2 cups light sour cream |
180 g water chestnuts, drained and chopped |
40 g sachet onion soup mix |
1 (300 g) box frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry |
1 loaf , break (round) |
Directions:
1. Slice a lid off the top of the bread and scoop out the inside. Tear the inside bits into bite sized pieces. 2. Mix together the remaining ingredients and put into the hollowed out bread. 3. Serve on a plate surrounded by the bread pieces for dipping. |
