This makes a great appetizer or something to bring to office parties, baby showers, etc. Ingredients:
16 ounces reduced-fat sour cream |
10 ounces frozen chopped spinach (thawed, squeezed dry) |
2 green onions, chopped |
3 tablespoons dry salad seasoning, such as mccormick salad supreme |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 loaf crusty round bread, 10 inches in diameter |
assorted chips |
fresh vegetables, for dipping |
Directions:
1. Combine sour cream, spinach, green onion, seasoning, cheese and garlic powder. 2. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days. 3. Before serving, horizontally cut top third off bread. 4. Scoop out inside bread in large pieces, leaving 1/2 thick shell. 5. Cut bread pieces into 1/2 cubes. 6. Fill hollow loaf with dip. 7. Serve with chips, veggies, and bread cubes. |
