SPINACH AND CREAM CHEESE BISCUIT TURNOVERS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Steely Estate in Austin, Texas in 1994. Tried and true. These are very easy but tastes like you slaved for hours. Read more . Yummy. Ingredients:
1/2 package bacon sliced thin |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup butter |
9 ounces frozen chopped spinach cooked and well drained |
4 ounces softened cream cheese |
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
10 ounces can flaky biscuits |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
2 teaspoons sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon and onion until brown then add remaining ingredients in order given. 2. Cool then add 1 teaspoon mixture to flattened out biscuits and fold over. 3. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds then bake at 350 for 12 minutes. |
