Spicy Three Pepper Hummus |

Yummy... my new favorite food and it’s a great recipe for entertaining. Ingredients:
2 (16oz) cans garbanzo beans, drained |
2 tbs. olive oil |
1/8 cup lemon juice |
2 tbs. tahini |
8 cloves garlic, minced |
2 sliced jalapeno can pepper, chopped |
1 tsp of the canned jalapeno juice |
1/2 tps ground black pepper |
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like) |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano |
Directions:
1. In the bowl of a standard mixer, combine the garbanzo beans, olive oil, lemon juice, Tahini, garlic, jalapeno, and juice from canned jalapeno. Season with black pepper, cayenne, cumin and oregano. 2. Mix using the whisk attachment on low speed until the ingredients start to blend, then turn the speed to medium and blend to your desired consistency. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to blend. Make sure you container is sealed tight. |
