This is a great side dish! Quick, easy and so tasty, too! Ingredients:
2c. water |
1c. uncooked long grain white rice |
1/4c. chopped green onions |
2 fresh red chilies; seeded & chopped |
1t. snipped cilantro |
1t. butter |
1t. fresh ginger; minced |
3/4t. salt |
1/8t. ground tumeric |
1 to 2t. lime juice |
chopped roasted peanuts & red pepper flakes: optional garnish |
Directions:
1. Combine 1st 9 ingredients in 2 to 3 qt. saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil; stirring once or twice. 3. Reduce heat; cover & simmer 15 min. or until rice is tender & liquid is absorbed. 4.
