4 lbs pork spareribs, in serving pieces |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
1/4 cup dry white wine |
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
2 tablespoons cold water |
Directions:
1. Place pork, meaty side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. 2. Roast, uncovered in a 325°F oven for 1 1/2 hours. 3. Mix soy sauce, wine, sesame seeds, oil, sugar, red pepper and garlic in a 1-quart saucepan; heat to boiling. 4. Mix cornstarch and cold water; gradually stir into soy mixture. 5. Boil and stir 1 minute. 6. Brush pork with soy sauce mixture. 7. Roast, turning and brushing frequently with sauce, until pork is done, about 45 minutes. |
