I have never made this soup. the recipe comes from Mexico. can be made to be real spicy with lots of hot pepper. Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
4 cups cubed peeled potatoes, 1/2 inch cubes |
1 small onion chopped |
3 cans tomato sauce (8 ounces each) |
4 cups water |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper |
1/2 to 1 teaspoons hot sauce (more if you like it) |
Directions:
1. In a dutch oven or large kettle, brown ground beef; Drain. 2. Add potatoes, onion, and tomato sauce. 3. Stir in water, salt, pepper and hot sauce. 4. Bring to a boil. 5. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender and the soup has thickened. 6. 6 to 8 servings. |
