These little jewels are delicious with cheese soup... Serve then at brunch or any other time...Great for the Holidays. Easy to make... Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper |
1/3 cup shortening |
1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni |
3/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients; cut in shorteneing with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. 2. Stir in pepperoni. 3. Add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. 4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times. 5. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut dough 2 or 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet. 6. Bake at 425 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. 7. Yield; 1 dozen |
