I wanted a good peanut sauce and this is a hybrid of some i found from various sites. I love it with whole wheat spaghetti (or rice noodles), bean sprouts, bok choy, shredded carrots, seedless cucumber and chicken all tossed together. Ingredients:
1/4 cup peanut butter (more for a stronger peanut taste) |
1/4 cup water |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
2 tablespoons fish sauce |
1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce |
2 tablespoons honey (can sub brown sugar) |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
2 teaspoons ginger (i use a paste from a jar but you could use fresh grated) |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
2 tablespoons rice vinegar |
1 lime, juice from |
Directions:
1. combine everything in a small pot. 2. bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes. 3. pour over pasta or use as a sauce for dipping. |
