This is a delicious salad. I got the recipe from My Great Recipes years ago and make it at least twice a month or more. Good served with: Barbecued chicken or beef, hamburgers or grilled fish, meatloaf, meatballs, roast turkey. Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce, shredded |
3 stalks celery, thinly sliced |
1bunch radishes, thinly sliced |
2white onions, cut into rings |
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed |
1/2 tsp. pepper mix |
dressing |
2 tbsp. lime juice |
1 tbsp. white wine vinegar |
6 tbsp. salad oil |
dash salt |
6 tbsp. minced parsley |
3 tbsp. parmesan cheese |
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon leaves |
Directions:
1. Assemble all the vegetables in a 2. salad bowl, layer by layer. Add garlic 3. and pepper mix. 4. In small bowl, whisk together lime juice, vinegar, oil, salt, parsley, 5. cheese and tarragon leaves. Beat until well combined. 6. Just before serving, drizzle a little dressing over salad. Toss well. Serve the rest of the dressing on the side. |
