Hot tomato sauce located in the Mexican food aisle. Ingredients:
7 1/2 ounces hot tomato sauce |
4 ounces diced green chilies |
1 egg, beaten |
2 pieces bread, toasted & crumbed |
1/2 diced onion |
onion powder |
garlic powder |
1 lb ground beef |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 375°F. 2. Heat hot tomato sauce in saucepan over medium heat until slightly thickened; let cool. 3. In a bowl, add 3/4 of the diced onion and 3/4 of the cooled tomato sauce. 4. Add remaining ingredients to the bowl; mix well. 5. Load meat into loaf pan. 6. Pepper the top of loaf, add remaining onion; pour remaining tomato sauce on top. 7. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour. |
