Spicy Meatballs in Tomato Sauce |

Another delicious recipe from that Canadian school cookbook. Ingredients:
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1 lb ground beef |
1 tablespoon ketchup |
2/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 pinch pepper |
1 egg |
1/4 cup grated onion |
2 tablespoons pickle relish |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1 pinch pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix meatballs. 2. Shape into 1 balls. 3. Place in single layer in foil-lined baking dish. 4. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes. 5. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in medium sized saucepan. 6. Simmer over moderate heat about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. 7. Combine meatballs and sauce in casserole dish and heat in oven 20 to 30 minutes. |
