Tiny warm meatballs seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika and cilantro served with a sesame dip. Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 small onion, grated |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 egg, beaten |
3 ounces fresh breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons tomato paste |
2 tablespoons paprika |
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped |
salt and pepper |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sesame oil |
1 tablespoon rice wine or 1 tablespoon sherry wine |
1 scallion, thinly sliced |
1 tablespoon sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Make the dip: whisk together all the ingredients and set aside. 2. Combine the meatball ingredients in a bowl. Using your hands, roll the mixture into little balls. 3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs, in batches, over a medium heat for 5 mins or until browned, firm and cooked through. 4. Serve warm with the dip. |
