For all you spice lovers and heat seekers this is a belly burning recipe for you! Open wide and enjoy! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy) |
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (28 ounce) can kidney beans, with liquid |
1 (28 ounce) can pinto beans or 1 (28 ounce) can black beans, with liquid |
1 (28 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained |
1 cup diced onion |
1/4 cup celery, diced |
3 medium tomatoes, chopped |
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped |
1/4 cup sliced jalapeno, with liquid (jarred preferred) |
2 teaspoons cumin |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
2 teaspoons black pepper |
2 teaspoons seasoning salt |
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper |
chopped fresh cilantro |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and sausage in skillet; drain off fat. 2. Using a fork crumble meat into pea sized pieces. 3. In your crockpot, combine meats, plus all the remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat. 4. Cook stirring every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours. 5. When ready to serve you can top with your favorite toppings. Recommended: sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions. 6. Enjoy! |
