My husband did not like guacamole until I made this for him. I'm a HUGE fan of cilantro and garlic, which is what gives this guac a bigger kick than normal. I DO NOT recommend this dish for a date night, or you might as well serve it with a shot of mouthwash. Read more . Add a dash of cayenne to the lime juice and let sit overnight prior to making for a bigger bite. Ingredients:
4 large avocados (pitted & skinned) |
2 regular limes (juiced) |
1/2 yellow onion (finely minced) |
3 cloves garlic (pressed) |
1/3 bunch cilantro leaves (finely chopped) |
1 roma tomato (seeded and finely chopped) |
2 tbsp olive oil |
1 tsp kosher salt |
Directions:
1. For smoother guacamole: 2. Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth. 3. Gently fold in the tomato until blended. 4. For chunkier guacamole: 5. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher until desired consistency is reached. 6. Gently fold in the tomato until blended. 7. Notes: 8. Add more oil if the guacamole is too thick. 9. Add more salt if flavor is too bland. |
