When I'm in the mood for something spicy on the grill, this is one I really like. Ingredients:
2 cups dry red wine |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish |
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne) |
1 poblano chile, seeded and cut into strips |
2 cloves garlic, crushed |
1 1/2 lbs top sirloin steaks |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except steak in a large resealable plastic bag, mix well. 2. Add steak, turn to coat. 3. Seal bag and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. 4. When ready to grill, remove steak from marinade, reserving the marinade. 5. Grill steak to desired doneness. 6. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan bring reserved marinade to a boil. 7. Reduce heat and cook 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly thickened. 8. Serve grilled steak with hot marinade. |
