SPICY GREEN BEANS This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
2 pounds green beans |
3 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons pickle relish |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook beans until tender in boiling salted water then drain. 2. Add remaining ingredients then cover and simmer over very low heat for 5 minutes. |
