These greens turn out just a little spicy, a kick even the little ones love. Ingredients:
6 slices bacon |
1 bunch collard greens, rinsed and trimmed |
1/3 cup vinegar |
salt to taste |
ground black pepper to taste |
ground cayenne pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. 2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add collard greens, bacon (with grease), vinegar, salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. 3. Boil until greens are tender, about 30 minutes. |
